Since her childhood Riet van der Lubbe has been searching for the source of life. The initial choice for studying biology, followed by courses on humans as such, finds its origin in this fascination. Development, growth, upbringing, behaviour, working conditions are important items in this respect. Over time, she became increasingly fascinated by the phenomenon of ‘human being’ to the extent that already during her studies at the art academy the theme of her work germinates: ‘ body and identity ‘
